Community Services
St. John Ambulance volunteers provide valuable services to communities across Alberta. With assistance from our sponsors, we are able to provide our communities with the core program materials for these programs. The following are the core programs supported by Alberta Council:

• Volunteer Medical First Response Program - an extended First Aid program for our volunteers
  

• Therapy Dog Program - volunteers bring their dogs to visit people in a variety of home facilities

• Baby First - volunteer instructors teach CPR to parents of patients in the NICU (Partner with Royal Alexandra Hospital, Edmonton)

• We Can Help - a free program that introduces Grade 3 students to Safety Awareness & First Aid (Partner with the Masons and Concordant bodies)

• First Aid on the Farm - provides First Aid focused on injuries and scenarios common to the farming community (Partner with Farm Credit Canada)
