Emergency First Aid
This course is well suited to those who would like the basics in First Aid and CPR in a one day program. This offering is suitable for general interest, office staff, and companies with fewer than six employees. Provincially recognized certificates which meet Canadian Labour Code, valid for three years, are issued upon completion. Topics covered include: Emergency Scene Management, Shock, Choking and Severe Bleeding.
Recommended for people who are interested in first aid for at home purposes, or for workers who will act as secondary first aid providers.

Standard First Aid
Designed to meet industry, business and government requirements, Standard Level First Aid is a modular course for those who want to learn more first aid skills. Provincially recognized certificates which meet Canadian Labour Code certification, valid for three years, are issued upon successful completion. Topics include: Emergency Scene Management, Choking, Severe Bleeding, Wound Care, Burns, Poisons and much more. Available with CPR A/C and AED. 
Recommended for people interested in more advanced first aid knowledge, and for workers who will act as primary first aid providers.

Advanced Medical First Responder
Some workplaces are more hazardous than others. St. John Ambulance, Canada's leader in first aid training and products, offers Advanced Level Training to those who require first-to-respond skills. From emergency professionals such as firefighters and police, to industry workers in high-risk environments, the Advanced Medical First Responder program can provide you with additional skills to save a life when serious injury occurs.
Recommended for employees in an industrial setting where injuries can be catastrophic, or outside medical assistance is limited.

Instructor Development Course
If you have a background in teaching, or a health care professional, or come from a safety related field and have successfully completed a St. John Ambulance Standard First Aid and HCP course, you may apply to be an instructor. For more information on how to become an instructor and the course dates, please contact your local St. John Ambulance.
Recommended for anyone interested in teaching first aid for a living, or for their company.

Child Restraint Technician Certification Training* 
The Child Restraint Technician program is designed for anyone interested in helping others to learn to secure their children safely in motor vehicles. Whether for business or community volunteer reasons, this program offers you a truly rewarding opportunity to make a difference in child safety. This 13 hour training course coupled with practical experience at a Car Seat Clinic will give you the skills and knowledge to assist others in Child Restraint installation. A nationally recognized certificate valid for three years is issued upon successful completion of the course requirements.

Wilderness First Aid*
St. John Ambulance Wilderness First Aid is a comprehensive program for those who live, work and play in the wilderness designed on a National level. This specialized first aid and safety course focuses on how to take care of casualties when medical help is not readily available.
Recommended for outdoor enthusiasts or remote outpost workers who will have limited access to medical assistance in an emergency.

Marine First Aid*
This program meets the Transport Canada Marine Safety requirements for Examination and Certification of Seafarers. This extended Standard level First Aid course includes specific information on Anatomy and Physiology, relevant First Aid kits, AR for a stoma casualty, toxicological hazards, confined spaces, and radio medical advice. Electives have been pre-selected by Transport Canada to meet federal regulations. Recommended for anyone who works in commercial shipping, or who will be working on a boat for extended periods.

First Aid on the Farm*
Farming is one of Canada's most hazardous occupations. Dealing with heavy machinery, unpredictable animals, dangerous chemicals and routine farm activities increases the potential for injury. It makes safety sense for the whole family to learn first aid. Recommended for anyone working on, or providing services to a farm.
