Occupational First Aid Level 3 Renewal (OFA 3)

Course Description

Occupational First Aid Level 3 (OFA 3) Renewal is a 40-hour program designed for First Aid Attendants whose current OFA Level 3 certificate is about to expire or has just expired.  Participants must have an OFA Level 3 certificate that will not have expired for more than 6 months from the date of expiry before the end of the class.  Participants are also required to bring their WorkSafeBC OFA 3 materials (August 2018 or later) to class.  Successful participants will be re-qualified to work as a WorkSafeBC OFA Level 3 first aid attendant. Certification requires full participation and course attendance, plus successful completion of both written and practical exams (held on the last 2 days of the course).

Course Content
Course Content

•    Day 1 and Day 2: Students will review and practice skills and scenarios for a Level 3 Occupational First Aid Attendant
•    Day 3:  Students will have completed all requirements for certification for CPR Level A with AED, plus continuous deliberate practice of skills and scenario
•    Day 4 & Day 5:  Continuous deliberate practice of skills and scenarios, plus examination for the OFA Level 3 certification
