De façon générale, le Code canadien du travail établit un cadre législatif et décrit les responsabilités de l’employeur et des employés en ce qui a trait à la santé et à la sécurité au travail. 

Standard First Aid Level A is for individuals requiring comprehensive information on First Aid and CPR for their workplace, school, or personal interest. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate valid for 3 years.

Designed to comply with the CSA Z1210-17 Standard. This course also meets Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Workplace First Aid (WFA) standards, but is not recognized by CNESST in the province of Québec.

A Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) is composed of worker and manager/employer representatives. Together, they commit to improving health and safety conditions in the workplace. Committees identify potential health and safety issues and bring them to the employer’s attention. As well, a designated worker member of the committee must inspect the workplace monthly. At least two members of the committee must be fully certified, having completed training levels 1 and 2.

Participants who take this course are well prepared to interact confidently about mental health with their family, friends, communities, and workplaces.
