Phil Clarke

Phil Clarke was installed as Chancellor of the Priory of Canada of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (Order of St. John) by outgoing Chancellor Rob White on June 18, 2016. As Chancellor, Phil leads approximately 20,000 Canadians who volunteer their time supporting the Order’s charitable foundation, St. John Ambulance.  St. John volunteers have given back millions of volunteer hours to their communities during the past 130 years.
 
Phil has been actively involved with St. John Ambulance since 1997, in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia starting as a volunteer medical responder. He has held ever increasing roles of responsibility in finance, human resources, honours and awards and executive roles including his role as Chair of Nova Scotia / Prince Edward Island Council, Director of St. John Canada (Priory), Priory Executive Committee, and the Priory Finance and Administration Committee. In recognition of his service, he was promoted to Knight in the Order of St. John, has earned a Service Medal of the Order with Bar.
 

Now located in Moncton, New Brunswick, and a partner with PwC LLP with 18 years of experience in public practice, Phil brings extensive experience in leadership, finance and accounting, performance improvement and operational effectiveness to St. John Ambulance. He is a PwC Canada Foundation Board Member and PwC Corporate Social Responsibility Advisory Board Member and the recipient of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia 2006 Ross Towler CA of the Year.
