This fast paced one-day course meets first aid requirements under the BC Ministry of Health - Community Care and Assisted Living Act. This course also meets first aid requirements for Canada Labour Code Basic First Aid. Emergency First Aid Community Care meets first aid requirements for anyone who provides care for infants, children and/or adults in licensed adult care and child care facilities. It is also suitable for federal government employees, home care providers, coaches, and care support workers. This course now offers Opioid Poisoning and administration of naloxone both intranasal and intramuscular. This course also meets first aid requirements for Canada Labour Code Basic First Aid but is NOT recognized as equivalent to WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid Level 1. Successful completion of this course also includes a CPR Level B and AED certificate.
