My name is Sarah English and I was recently deployed with our Emergency Response Unit to give medical support to the firefighters in the Miramichi area. Thank you for giving us this opportunity to express the meaning of our experience there. Following is what I would like to share:
"I had no idea how meaningful our presence would be to the firefighters until they expressed how much they appreciated just knowing we were there... there to bandage their blisters; there to give emotional support; there to help when injured. It was an experience well worth re-living."
