December 6, 2021: The Priory of Canada of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem is honoured to announce that on Friday 3 December 2021, Her Excellency the Governor-General, Mary Simon, was installed as the Prior of Canada of their Order.

Her Excellency was also invested as a Dame of Justice of the Most Venerable Order on the same day.

The Chancellor of the Priory of Canada, Mr. Alain Laurencelle, KStJ, BA, LLB, attended the ceremony on behalf of the volunteers and members of St. John Canada.

The Priory of Canada, Order of St. John, is delighted that Her Excellency agreed to serve as the Prior of Canada, thereby continuing a long-standing tradition by which Governors-General of Canada became Priors of the Order in Canada during their term in office.
