Course Description
This course is intended to Quebec companies wishing to evolve in a safer work environment and comply with the regulations of the CSST. The CSST subsidizes the course of First Aid in the Workplace in order to ensure that employers and main contractors of construction sites comply with the regulations regarding the minimum standards of first aiders and first aid care.

Two days from 8:30am to 4:30pm / 16 hours (including 1 hour lunch break per day)

- The roles and responsibilities of the first aider and regulation
- The management of an emergency situation, the assessment of the situation, the clinical evaluation and the secondary assessment
- State of shock and fainting
- Chest pain, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation (AED) – adult subject
- Airway clearance - adult subject
- Medical complications ( respiratory difficulties, convulsions,diabetes, allergies)
- Severe bleeding
- Eye injuries
- Burns
- Minor and complex wound care
- Chest injuries
- Professional intoxication
- Head and spinal traumas
- Heat stroke, hypothermia and frostbite
- Trauma to the extremities
- Administration of adrenaline - known allergic subject
