CPR can help save the life of another person. While not a difficult skill to learn, a CPR course prepares participants to be as effective as possible while providing care to someone in need.
This course teaches participants how to manage an emergency scene, how to recognize a heart attack, and how to respond when someone stops breathing.
CPR-A covers resuscitation for Adults only. If you wish to learn CPR that covers adults, children, infants, and two-rescuer CPR, you need to take CPR-C.

The Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR course is for those working in healthcare and covers advanced CPR techniques.
Duration
Prerequisites
In order to take this course, you must hold a current CPR-BLS & AED certificate.
Course Content
Participants learn the full content of a level CPR-C course (adult, child, infant, and two-rescuer CPR), as well as:
- Bag-valve mask use (BVM)
- Two-rescuer child and infant CPR
- Responding as part of a team
- Artificial respiration
